MIT researchers have demonstrated a room-temperature method for generating strongly correlated microwave signals using a magnetic film and microwave resonator, potentially overcoming a major limitation of existing quantum systems that require expensive cryogenic cooling. The technology could have applications in secure wireless communication, quantum radar and high-precision sensing. By producing correlated signals at different frequencies, the researchers successfully demonstrated information recovery using a matching signal, marking a potential step toward more scalable quantum technologies.
