BitGo has received virtual asset service provider registration in South Korea, allowing its local subsidiary, BitGo Korea, to offer crypto custody and transaction services to institutional and corporate clients. The company said it is the first global cryptocurrency firm to secure the registration in the country. BitGo Korea was established locally with security, anti-money laundering and compliance systems, while Hana Financial Group and SK Telecom are among its strategic investors.
