BTCPay Server has temporarily blocked remote access to Lightning Network nodes running LND after a vulnerability was exploited to obtain credentials and steal funds. The restriction affects external wallets accessing nodes through BTCPay’s domain and Tor onion URL on Docker deployments. BTCPay said Lightning payments can continue while developers work on restoring remote access. Node operators have also been advised to audit their systems for suspicious transactions and channel activity.
