The Supreme Court has declined to entertain a PIL seeking registration and monitoring of institutions providing secular education or religious instruction to children below 14. Filed by BJP leader Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay, the plea raised concerns over alleged misuse of Article 30 and inadequate oversight. The court did not examine these allegations or the proposed regulatory measures on merits.
