A tragic case from Jammu and Kashmir has triggered outrage and demands for accountability after a 14-year-old girl died while being taken for medical treatment. Officials said the minor, from the Chhatroo area of Kishtwar district, was pregnant and had been referred for specialised medical care. However, she died before reaching the hospital. Police have arrested a government school teacher in connection with the case and registered an FIR under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
