Flash floods triggered by relentless torrential rain have left a trail of devastation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district. One woman lost her life after being swept away, while homes, shops and low-lying settlements were inundated. The Rajouri bus stand has turned into a graveyard of damaged vehicles as swollen rivers breached their banks. Rescue operations are underway, authorities have activated control rooms, and residents have been advised to stay away from riverbanks amid continuing heavy rainfall.
