The political battle within the Trinamool Congress has intensified as rebel leaders staked claim to the party headquarters, triggering a fresh showdown with Mamata Banerjee. Rejecting the rebels’ claims, Mamata asserted that the party office lease remains valid until 2027, vowed a legal fight, branded the dissidents as traitors, and insisted the party symbol and flag would remain with her faction. She also declared that her residence would serve as the party headquarters if necessary.
