The US Securities and Exchange Commission has secured a $5.4 million court judgment against NanoBit Limited and its affiliates over a crypto investment fraud scheme that targeted at least 18 investors between 2023 and 2024. The ruling follows allegations that the defendants used fake investment platforms, misleading social media promotions, and WhatsApp groups to deceive investors into transferring funds, which were instead diverted to the scheme’s participants.
