In an exclusive conversation with NDTV, BJP leader and former Union Minister Smriti Irani said the Jantar Mantar protests should not be viewed as a reflection of India’s entire Gen Z generation. Drawing on her perspective as a parent of Gen Z children, Irani argued that millions of young Indians are contributing to the country as students, entrepreneurs, doctors, engineers, teachers, police personnel and members of the armed forces. She said it would be unfair to define an entire generation through a single protest movement.
