A nearly 200-year-old Maa Kali temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Chandauli district was demolished as part of the GT Road widening project. Before the demolition, priests conducted rituals and shifted the idols to a newly built temple. However, the operation turned tragic when the temple’s dome suddenly collapsed, killing a Public Works Department (PWD) worker.
