His message reinforced his “Not the era of war” remark issued a few years ago and is seen as one of the strongest to emerge from India on the matter.
Rescue and relief operations are underway on a war footing across flood-ravaged Nepal, where more than 900 people have been killed and over 3000 remain missing. The Nepal Army, aided by Indian experts, has intensified efforts at the Trishuli tunnel amid fears that workers remain trapped inside.
