The Congress has criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s newly constituted task force on examination reforms, calling it a reaction to mounting pressure from students. The opposition claimed the government’s move came only after nationwide protests over alleged exam irregularities and described the initiative as “political drama.” The Centre says the task force will recommend sweeping reforms to make the examination system leakproof, improve transparency, strengthen security, and overhaul the functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
