Relentless rainfall continued to batter Mumbai, with over 200 mm of rain recorded in the last 12 hours. Amid the downpour, a tragic tree fall in Kurla claimed the life of Yunus Sheikh. According to local residents, Sheikh had recently purchased a shop and had gone there to prepare for its inauguration when the tree collapsed on him.
