Delhi Police are investigating whether Tuesday’s ‘Sansad Chalo’ protest turned violent due to a larger conspiracy rather than spontaneous student anger. According to police, around 70 people have been detained, with many reportedly not being students. Several videos show protesters pelting stones, vandalising police vehicles, and injuring police personnel, including the North Delhi DCP. Investigators are also examining the possible role of misinformation and social media activity, with some posts allegedly linked to Pakistan-based handles. Multiple FIRs have been registered, and more arrests are expected as authorities analyse video evidence.
