India’s Gen-Z is no longer watching politics from the sidelines. As a new generation enters the electorate, young Indians are increasingly shaping political conversations around jobs, governance and institutional reforms. From PM Modi’s social-media outreach to Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi’s youth-focused politics and Mohan Bhagwat’s Gen-Z outreach, political leaders across the spectrum are trying to connect with younger voters. The influence is also spilling into Gen Alpha, with children too young to vote joining protests and using social media as a powerful tool to make their voices heard.
