A fresh political controversy has erupted after more than 100 prominent citizens from India and Pakistan jointly appealed for the restoration of dialogue between the two countries. Among the Indian signatories are Farooq Abdullah, Manoj Jha and Mehbooba Mufti, who have called for the resumption of diplomatic ties, restoration of visa services and renewed engagement to reduce tensions and promote regional peace.
