India has issued its first official response to the latest escalation in West Asia following fresh attacks in the Strait of Hormuz and rising tensions between the United States and Iran.
In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said India is “deeply concerned” over the recent developments, warning that the escalation could undermine regional peace, security and stability. New Delhi has urged all sides to exercise restraint, de-escalate tensions, protect civilians and ensure the uninterrupted flow of global energy supplies and commerce.
