Former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has welcomed the Delhi court’s verdict acquitting him in the sexual harassment case filed by several women wrestlers. Speaking to NDTV after the judgment, Singh said he had always believed he would receive justice and claimed the verdict had exposed what he described as a “political conspiracy” against him. He also said the controversy had damaged Indian wrestling and its athletes, while declining to comment on those who had accused him.
