Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay on Friday accused the state police of pinning the blame for the September 2025 Karur stampede on him. The TVK leader, then a chief ministerial candidate, said he had “trusted” the police in the lead-up to the pre-election rally that later descended into chaos, resulting in a stampede that killed 41 people.
