With the Monsoon Session of Parliament set to begin, the DMK has convened a crucial meeting of its MPs to finalise its strategy, with the Women’s Reservation Bill expected to dominate the agenda.
The proposed legislation is closely linked to delimitation, an issue on which the DMK has consistently expressed concerns, arguing that Tamil Nadu could lose political representation despite successfully controlling population growth. The party had opposed the Bill earlier, contributing to its failure to secure the required two-thirds majority.
