The Bombay High Court has granted conditional bail to Shiv Sena corporator Ramesh Mhatre in the Dombivli doctor assault case and ordered that the trial be fast-tracked. The court imposed strict conditions on Mhatre and directed that he remain outside Maharashtra until the chargesheet is filed in the matter. The case had sparked outrage after allegations that doctors were assaulted and threatened.
