The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has barred 36 candidates from participating in UGET 2026 counselling after detecting suspected malpractice at three exam centres in Jamshedpur. A forensic audit, CCTV analysis and academic review revealed anomalies, including unusual answering patterns and alleged invigilator assistance. Four of the candidates are among the Top 10 rank holders. They have been asked to appear before COMEDK by July 10 before any final action, including debarment and police complaints.
