Tamil Nadu’s political war of words has turned increasingly personal, with BJP state president Nainar Nagendran’s controversial “Ask your mother” remark aimed at Chief Minister Vijay triggering a backlash. The comment is being seen as a response to Vijay’s earlier “Where is your father?” jibe at Udhayanidhi Stalin. TVK has demanded an apology, while a woman advocate has filed a complaint with the DGP office. BJP leader K Annamalai has also condemned the personal remarks against Vijay’s mother, calling them unacceptable. The latest controversy comes amid a series of increasingly personal exchanges between the ruling TVK, AIADMK and BJP in Tamil Nadu.
