Andy Burnham has officially become the United Kingdom’s new Prime Minister after King Charles III invited him to form the next government following Keir Starmer’s resignation. In his first speech outside 10 Downing Street, Burnham pledged to decentralise power, tackle the cost of living, support British industry and end rough sleeping. Earlier, Keir Starmer delivered an emotional farewell address, thanking the British people and wishing Burnham success as Britain’s new leader.
