Several districts in Uttar Pradesh have ordered temporary closure of schools, colleges, universities and technical institutions amid increased movement of Kanwar pilgrims during the Kanwar Yatra. Meerut and Ghaziabad institutions will remain closed from August 4 to August 12, while Baghpat announced closure from August 3 to August 12. Muzaffarnagar had earlier issued a similar order. Scheduled examinations will continue as planned despite the suspension of regular classes.
