A major overhaul of Team Modi is being speculated following the BJP’s organisational changes under Nitin Nabin. The Union Council of Ministers currently has 69 members, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leaving 12 ministerial slots vacant. A reshuffle could also see some ministers dropped based on performance, while vacancies have emerged following the end of the Rajya Sabha tenures of some ministers. With 14 ministers currently handling multiple portfolios, the big question is whether the reshuffle will bring in fresh faces and ease the workload across the Modi government.
