SVKM’s Pravin Gandhi Law College first Mumbai University law institute to become autonomous

SVKM’s Pravin Gandhi College of Law has become the first law college affiliated with the University of Mumbai to receive autonomous status from the UGC for 10 years, starting from the 2026–27 academic year. The autonomy will allow the institute to redesign its curriculum, introduce interdisciplinary courses, strengthen industry engagement and adopt innovative teaching methods. The college plans to enhance its five-year BA LLB programme with a broader focus on contemporary legal education and skill development.
