Supreme Court cuts judicial service practice rule from 3 years to 1; candidates to undergo training, clerkship after selection

The Supreme Court has reduced the prior legal practice requirement for entry-level judicial service from three years to one year for future recruitment. Selected Civil Judge (Junior Division) candidates will undergo a year of judicial training and another year of supervised clerkship. The ruling also provides transitional relief to law graduates affected by the earlier three-year requirement.
