Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned of a fresh Russian response after Ukraine intensified drone strikes on Russian economic infrastructure. Putin accused Kyiv of opening a “Pandora’s box” and said Russia would target Ukraine’s “most sensitive economic sectors” in retaliation. Ukraine has targeted Russian oil refineries, warehouses and other economic infrastructure as part of its war effort, while Russia has struck Ukrainian economic infrastructure, including grain export facilities. Putin said Russia would overcome challenges to its own exports and insisted there would be no global food shortage.
