Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishor has announced that he will contest the Bankipur Assembly by-election, taking on the BJP in one of its strongest constituencies in Bihar. In an exclusive Walk The Talk interview with NDTV, Kishor said the election is much more than a contest for an Assembly seat. He described it as a referendum on Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and the state’s new leadership, arguing that voters never had the opportunity to endorse the change in government through a fresh mandate.
