Jagmohan Meena, a 2013-batch Odisha cadre IPS officer and IIT Kanpur graduate, has decided to resign from the service at 37, citing personal reasons and long-term career planning. Born in Rajasthan’s Sikar district, he secured AIR 849 in the 2012 UPSC Civil Services Examination and later received the Police Medal for Gallantry in 2019 for anti-Maoist operations. Meena plans to explore private-sector opportunities after completing the formal resignation process.
