The political battle over the SIR has taken an unexpected turn in Karnataka, with the BJP-led NDA alleging serious irregularities in the voter verification process. The NDA claims Booth Level Officers are bypassing mandatory door-to-door checks and filling forms at community halls and other locations, raising concerns over electoral integrity. Congress, however, has dismissed the allegations, with DK Shivakumar insisting the party will not interfere in the exercise.
