Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur have launched India’s first practice-oriented four-year Bachelor of Cybersecurity programme, beginning with the academic year starting July 2026. The course combines classroom learning with a two-year field deployment on live cybersecurity projects. Developed to address the shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals, the programme covers specialised domains including cloud security, digital forensics, malware analysis and critical infrastructure protection while supporting higher studies and research opportunities.
