IIT Madras hosts national workshop on student wellness with Education Ministry

IIT Madras organised a two-day regional workshop on student wellness under the Ministry of Education’s Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme, bringing together more than 200 faculty members and student support professionals from South India. The institute also highlighted becoming the first Centrally Funded Technical Institute to receive ISO 45001:2018 certification for its Wellness Centre. Participants discussed mentoring, counselling, preventive mental health, institutional support systems and practical approaches to strengthening student wellbeing across campuses.
