Hockey India has unveiled the national teams’ jerseys for the upcoming FIH Men’s and Women’s Hockey World Cups, revealing the change of colour from blue to orange. The men’s tournament is scheduled to be held in Belgium and the Netherlands from August 14 to 30, while the women’s competition will take place from August 15 to 30. However, the jersey launch has left former India captain Viren Rasquinha puzzled. He questioned Hockey India’s decision to opt for an orange colour scheme. Rasquinha noted that the Indian hockey team’s identity and legacy have always been closely associated with the colour blue.
