Gurugram is battling severe waterlogging and traffic chaos after an hour of intense rain brought parts of the Millennium City to a standstill. Schoolchildren were reportedly stranded for hours on Shitala Mata Road after a school van broke down amid the flooding, while some students were forced to wade through water. With authorities advising people to work from home and several schools shifting classes online, visuals from outside DLF Magnolias-where homes reportedly cost upwards of Rs 50 crore-have renewed questions over Gurugram’s drainage and civic infrastructure.
