Galaxy Digital’s chief researcher Alex Thorn said at least 15 attackers exploited the Coldcard hardware wallet vulnerability, with total losses now estimated at around $100 million. Thorn said victim reports helped identify multiple attackers that would have otherwise remained anonymous. The findings come after successive waves of coordinated thefts linked to the same flaw, reigniting concerns over hardware wallet security and the growing role of AI in accelerating cyberattacks.
