A new NDTV Reality Check has raised fresh concerns over e-rickshaw safety after finding that another battery management app can still remotely switch off compatible vehicles. Days after the BAT-BMS app came under scrutiny for viral videos showing e-rickshaws being disabled via smartphone, NDTV tested a second application, Epoch Li-ion, on a compatible e-rickshaw. The test showed that a single tap in the app could power down the vehicle within seconds.
