Heavy showers lashed parts of Delhi-NCR on Monday morning, slowing traffic movement across several areas. Intense rainfall was reported from South Delhi and nearby regions as the India Meteorological Department issued a red alert for heavy rain and a yellow alert for moderate rainfall in several districts. The IMD also forecast thunderstorms, lightning and winds reaching 30-40 kmph at isolated and many places. Residents across Delhi have been advised to remain alert as heavy rainfall is expected to continue in several areas.
