Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar raised concerns over delimitation and women’s reservation at the Southern Zonal Council meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. Shivakumar urged the Centre to continue using the 1971 Census for delimitation, retain the current 543 Lok Sabha seats for the next 25 years and provide women’s reservation within the existing seats.
