A major security breach has been reported at the Madras Regiment in Secunderabad, Telangana, where five assault rifles—including four AK-series rifles—seven pistols, 21 magazines and around 19,000 rounds of ammunition were allegedly stolen from an arms storage barrack. The Army has placed the cantonment on high alert and tightened security, while police suspect multiple people familiar with the premises were behind the theft. Special teams have been formed to track down the suspects.
