Members of Iran’s armed forces paid tribute to former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla on the second day of his funeral ceremonies. Reuters footage showed army members chanting religious slogans and beating their chests while holding portraits of Khamenei, as vast crowds of mourners gathered in the courtyard. Khamenei’s coffin was displayed outdoors under glass, alongside those of his daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and 14-month-old granddaughter, all killed at the start of the US-Israeli war on Iran.
