A political face-off has erupted at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) over an event linked to the release and discussion of a book on Umar Khalid. JNU’s Left groups, including the JNUSU, have alleged that the event was cancelled after pressure from the ABVP and claimed that the university administration withdrew permission to use the auditorium. The ABVP has opposed the book release and called Umar Khalid “anti-national,” leading to a confrontation between the two student groups.
