The man accused of attacking Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal has been identified as 62-year-old Jaspal Singh, a Nihang and sevadar at Nanded Gurdwara. Sources told NDTV that during questioning, he allegedly expressed anger over Punjab’s drug problem and blamed Badal for it. Police say the motive remains under investigation.
