A day after his controversial remarks sparked outrage, Udhayanidhi Stalin was detained by the police, questioned, and later released following the Madras High Court’s intervention. Emerging defiant, he accused the TVK government of political vendetta, calling it a “government of fake news and reels” and dismissing the police action as a diversionary tactic ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly Budget Session.
