Political tensions have escalated in Telangana following a series of clashes between Congress and BJP workers in Hyderabad and Nalgonda.
What began with a Youth Congress protest outside the BJP state office in Hyderabad has now spilled over into Nalgonda. BJP workers gathered outside Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy’s camp office, where they reportedly threw eggs and tomatoes and burnt the minister’s effigy and banners.
The confrontation escalated further, with Congress workers reportedly targeting the BJP district office and the residence of BJP district president Nagabed Reddy. Property damage has also been reported.
Police have deployed personnel at key locations across Nalgonda to prevent further escalation as political tensions remain high in the district.
