Ripple has secured full authorisation under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework after receiving a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) licence from Luxembourg’s financial regulator. The approval allows the company to provide crypto services across the European Economic Area through passporting. The milestone comes after the EU’s MiCA transition period ended, requiring crypto firms to obtain authorisation or cease operations in the bloc.
