Amid the controversy over the rendering of Tamil Nadu’s state anthem, Tamizh Thai Vaazhthu, 21 INDIA bloc MPs have written to Governor Rajendra Arlekar seeking the restoration of the long-standing convention of playing the Tamil anthem at the beginning of university and government functions. The move comes after a recent dispute over the state song being rendered after the National Anthem and Vande Mataram.
