Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal welcomed the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, but argued that legislation alone would not eliminate paper leaks. Participating in the Lok Sabha debate, she said the bill is “fine” but called for concrete reforms, stronger implementation and a broader exchange of ideas to effectively curb examination malpractices and protect the future of students.
