OpenAI announced an early preview of Ultrafast. The AI company states that this new API service tier can run GPT-5.6 Sol up to 14 times faster than standard processing. The GPT‑5.6 Sol in Ultrafast mode is powered by Cerebras and is claimed to generate up to 750 output tokens per second. The company confirmed that it is working with select customers to evaluate the performance of the new tier.
